Baergan Dhol (the Kheldic Tribelands)
Etymology: In the Kheldic tongue, Baergan Dhol means "Living Place."
It has been mistranslated as "home" or "homeland" in several places,
and while that may make sense it is incorrect. A better translation
would be "A Place That Lives." The name hearkens back to the Khelds'
druidic herritage and their reverence for the land itself as a living
thing.
Geography: Baergan Dhol is not really a country. It is an expanse of
land shared by a number of nomadic tribes. It is roughly defined as
an area within the Wyldegonne frontier north of two rivers that run
Til Gaertan
Geography: Til Gaertan is on the eastern coast of Maddengrahl. To its
north are the Guardian Mountains, while its eastern border is shared
by the kingdom of Cryndal and the plainsmarsh. To the south is the
part of the Wyldegonne frontier known as the Bhali. The foothills of
the Guardian mountains extend about halfway through Til Gaertan.
Here, they are called the Themfar Hills, and are well known for their
plentiful gold and silver mines. In fact, much of the currency used
throughout Maddengrahl is made in Til Gaertan. This and their

Etymology: Ulhurst is the dwarven name for the mountain range that

the nation that they have built on its slopes and in its depths. The
name translates roughly to "mountain range" or "domain of the people"
in the common New Gordainean tongue, which sometimes causes confusion
between the dwarves and other races. Dwarves don't quite understand
why individual mountains are referred to seperately, or why there is
no single word for a collection of mountains. "You wouldn't call a
Kagnar
Geography: Kagnar is situated in the center of the continent of Maddengrahl, bordered on the north by the Guardian Mountains (called simply the Ulhurst by the dwarves who live in them), Floregh to the west, Cryndal and the Plainsmarsh to the east, and the Oelthen Forest and Baergan Dhol (the Kheldic Tribelands) to the south. A few miles of the northern part of the Oethlen forest technically lies within he
