Release: Scene 7

Novaman threw the block of torn concrete at Cybertitan's head from above, then zipped low and around to the right for a shot at its non-bladed side. He dodged a desperate blast from the beam-cannon and charged ahead, his laser vision leading the way ...

... but then Cybertitan's blade-arm was in the way, deflecting the laser vision and coming right for him. He realized too late that the "desperate" shot he'd avoided had been meant to herd him into this. The blade chopped him down to the ground, drawing his power away as it sliced his shoulder down to the bone. Dazed and weakened, Novaman fought to get to his feet, and found himself staring into the barrel of Cybertitan's beam weapon, and knew he was caught. If it didn't kill him, he'd be Strys' prisoner for certain.

But then, just as it fired, something lanced through Cybertitan's forearm and the beam hit the ground next to Novaman's head. He flew backwards, away from the robot, in time to see Sky Striker, afterburners blazing behind her, slam into Cybertitan and lift him up into the air at an angle.

She let go, and Novaman flew in as Cybertitan plummeted, catching it by its foot. “Get ready!” he shouted to Sky Striker as he swung with the momentum, spinning the big robot in a circle. Sky Striker nodded, taking the hint, and as it came around the second time, she delivered a flying punch straight into Cybertitan's back and tore the robot from Novaman's grip. Together, they careened over the wall to crash down on the jagged, sea-blasted rocks below.

Novaman followed to find Sky Striker standing over the remains of her foe. Cybertitan was face down with a massive hole in his back, a dislocated leg, and innumerable scratches and dents. He seemed finished, but as Novaman drew closer, the robot moved his arms to try and push himself up!

“He-le-le-na DRAHM-ir-ska-ska-ska,” it said, its voice further distorted by the damage, “YOU are-a-traitor-tor-and WILL be ...”

Novaman crunched its head against the rocks with both feet flying straight down.

He sighed down at the beaten robot, then looked to Helena, ready to say something comforting. Just then, he heard the sounds of the garrison moving around up on the wall. Looking up, he saw Stryssiavanian troops getting into turrets and setting up tripods for other weapons, some aimed his way, and others at the escaped cyborg. Yes, he could have put up a fight, but they might have been armed with Garicite weaponry as well, and that wasn't why he had come here, anyway.

“Helena!” he said. “We have to leave, now!”
